auDA Board Appoints New Independent Chair!

"The Board of the .au Domain Administration (auDA) is pleased to announce today the appointment of Mr Chris Leptos AM as the new independent Chair of auDA.

Mr Leptos brings considerable corporate board and not-for-profit sector experience to the role and has substantial experience in the investment, technology and government sectors. 

Mr Leptos was appointed by the auDA Board following an exhaustive recruitment process undertaken by Hattonneale, in conjunction with the recruitment subcommittee of the auDA Board.

He takes up his position as Chair following formal notification to ASIC.

A separate formal announcement regarding Mr Leptos' appointment will be made soon."

We found this posted on Chris Leptos's LinkedIn site and are very excited about the future of auDA under Chris's guidance:

"Chris Leptos is Deputy Chairman of Flagstaff Partners (www.flagstaffpartners.com), and a Non- Executive Director of IDP Education Limited (ASX:IEL), PPB Advisory (www.ppbadvisory.com), and Arete Capital Partners (www.aretecapital.com). Chris is also a Professorial Fellow at Monash Business School (Monash University). Chris retired as Deputy Chairman of Linking Melbourne Authority in December 2015. 

In his earlier career Chris was a Senior Partner with KPMG, and Managing Partner Government at Ernst & Young where he had national responsibility for leading the public sector practice. He has conducted numerous reviews for State and Federal Governments, such as lead adviser on the creation of a competitive gas market in Victoria. Chris was also General Manager of Corporate Development for Western Mining Corporation. He has lived and worked in Jakarta, Shanghai, Toronto and London. 

Chris is a Governor of The Smith Family, a member of the Advisory Council of Asialink (www.asialink.unimelb.edu.au), and a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Business & Economics at the University of Melbourne (www.fbe.unimelb.edu.au). Previously, Chris was a member of the Infrastructure Planning Council of Victoria and a member of the Australian Information Economy Advisory Council. 

In 1997 he was designated a Global Leader for Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and in 2000 he was invested as a Member of the Order of Australia for services to business and the community. Chris has an MBA from the Melbourne Business School (University of Melbourne) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. 

Chris is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fellow of CPA Australia."
